AIMS has a good mixture of students from all over the globe. A wide range of housing and dining options are available to the students to cater to their needs. There are separate hostel facilities for men and women.
All the hostels have a common dining area that gives the students an opportunity to know each other and also to develop a bonding that lasts a lifetime. There are various housing options available to the students. We also make sure that the food provided caters to the students' taste buds. There is a strong emphasis on providing the students with a highly nutritious food that helps them to concentrate on their studies and also various other activities.
EVENTS AT THE ACCOMMODATION
The Accommodation division at AIMS celebrates a number of events / festivals at all the sites of accommodation. The following are the details of the events that were celebrated along with the students.
New Year Celebrations Date: 31st December, 2007
Venue: College Auditorium
Event: All the students were invited to the college on New Year’s Eve for the New Year Celebrations, with CEO and other college faculties. The event was organised in college auditorium, where a dance party was held, cake was cut at 12 midnight and a bonfire was made in front of the auditorium.
Saraswati Puja Date:
Venue: Reechu Hostel and College
Event: All of the students took part in Saraswati Puja which was held at both places that is the college and the hostel.
Picnic Date: 30/03/08
Venue: Makudattu (Tourist place Karnataka)
Event: All the hostel students were taken for a picnic programme arranged by the college, for the information and guidelines regarding various points over there and for the care of students faculty members of college accompanied them.
Ganesh Puja Date: 03/09/08
Venue: Sai Boys Hostel and Reechu Hostel
Event: All the hostel students got together and contributed for the occasion. An idol was brought and both the hostels were decorated with flowers, coloured papers and ribbons. The puja was completed according to all the rites and rituals and prasad was distributed to all. A feast was arranged, for everyone who was present for the puja.
Onam Date: 12/09/08
Venue: Sai Boys Hostel
Event: The Malayalee students of hostel took an initiative to celebrate the festival of ONAM in the hostel, all the students from various other states took an active part in the celebrations as its was a new experience for them, they also took part in games and other activities that were organised as a part of ONAM.
Eid Date: 28/09/08
Venue: Accommodation
Event: In the holy month of Ramzan a special Iftar was organised for the Muslim students by the Accommodations Manager and the hostel warden.
TRANSPORTATION
AIMS has a fleet of buses which cater to the need of the students in terms of transportation from the sites of accommodation and also they ply from various points in the city for the students and faculty.
