AIMS hosted pre-conference event - ICYN
A pre International Conference session on Yoga and Naturopathy - ICYN was held on 20th January at AIMS for the students and faculty members of AIMS. Dr. Devaraj, Secretary General, ICYN and Arogya Expo - 2012 was the resource person for the pre-conference event. The event was hugely successful. Dr. Devaraj spoke about "Positive Health and Yoga for Common People in day to day life".

Dr. Rafiq Dossani, Professor, Stanford University addressed the faculty members of AIMS on "Higher Education Expansion in India with a focus on Engineering education".
Mr. Arjun Devaiah - International Athlete and Director of Abhimanyu Academy , Bangalore, visited the campus had an interactive session with the MBA and MA Students on "Self motivation by identifying the hidden potentialities and facing examinations"
The faculty members of AIMS attended an FDP on "Leadership and Attitude". The motivational and inspirational talk was given by Lt. C. R. Sampath Kumar - Retired Lt. General of the Indian army and member of International Association of Lions Clubs, Peenya , Dasarahalli.
AIMS Students & Faculty participated in NSS Camp at Byatah village
The NSS camp of AIMS was held from 7th to 13th January at Byatah Village, Bangalore. The students of all the programs of AIMS participated in the camp and the major activities were :
- Teaching English Language and Computer Usage through modern teaching devices for the students of the government school by the faculty of AIMS
- IIHR - Indian Institute of Horticulture Research organized a workshop on various types of farming for the villagers
- Lion club of Peenya, Bangalore and Sapthagiri Hospital organized a health check-up campaign
AIMS congratulates the students for participating and winning prizes in the inter-collegiate fest organized by GCC, Bangalore.
- Mr. Bishal Limbu and Mr.Ongdup Sherpa of 4th Sem BHM won the 1st prize for the Cartooning event
- Mr. Shaan and Mr. Amith of 1st Sem MCA won 2nd prize in the Web Designing event
AIMS Students celebrated Christmas with Leprosy Rehabilitation Center inmates
The students of MBA, MSW, PGPIB, B.Com and BHM, in association with ACCS, organized a Christmas celebration program for the inmates of a Leprosy Rehabilitation Center. Cakes and sweets were distributed and a number of cultural events were held.
MCA Students participated in SPARK program at Infosys Campus, Mysore
As a part of the Industry Institute Interaction, the students of 1st Sem MCA visited the Infosys Campus at Mysore and participated in the SPARK program. The session began with a campus tour and was followed by sessions from the SPARK team where the students were addressed with topics like 'The role of attitude on the success of an individual', 'The role of IT in business' and 'The Project thinking approach of achieving success through case studies'.
The program exposed the students to the corporate work culture, learning environment, Infosys background, services offered to global customers and an opportunity to learn about the leading edge technologies through short lectures.

MCA Outbound Learning Program 2011
The 1st year MCA students participated in a one day outbound learning program on 2nd December 2011 at Kunti Betta, Pandavapura. The aim of the OBL was to expose the students to nature, hardships and hazards, thereby build their personality, character, confidence and courage through adventure programmes. The OBL was conducted under the supervision of professional trainers.
MSW Prof. Vagdevi of USA visited AIMS campus
Prof. Vagdevi and her students from St. Edwards University, USA, visited AIMS and had an interaction with the MSW students. The visitors were escorted to visit Hosahalli village and an NGO.

Former Deputy Prime Minister of Uganda visited AIMS
Hon. Kirunda Kivejinja (Former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Internal Affairs, Govt. of Republic of Uganda) visited AIMS in November 2011 and interacted with the Ugandan student community on campus.
AIMS MBA Student won Best Manager Award in NIRMANA II
AIMS MBA students participated in NIRMANA II, the inter - collegiate fest organized by Kuvempu University, Shivamoga, on 18th and 19th November 2011. Ms. Ramya Janardhan was the winner of the Best Manager event. Mr. Karthik and Mr. Yogesh were the runners-up for the Business Quiz event.

Kannada Rajyothsava Celebrations 2011
AIMS celebrated the 56th Kannada Rajyothsava with patriotism and passion. Kannada poet and scholar, Prof. Chandrashekara Patila [Champa] was the Chief guest for the occasion and Dr. Chittayya Pujar, Professor, Dept of Kannada, Bangalore University was the guest of honor. A colourful cultural presentation by the students and patriotic songs marked the occasion.

UG Graduation Day Ceremony 2011
AIMS held the UG Graduation Day for the students of the BBM, BCA and BHM Programmes on 20th April 2011. The Chief Guest for the day was Prof. R. Venkata Rao, VC – National Law School of India University. Sri. B. M. Reddy, President of the JMJ Educational trust was the Guest of Honor and Dr. Kerron G Reddy, CEO, AIMS presided over the function.
The function started at 11 am with the lighting of the lamp followed by the invocation. After the CEO, Prof. Kerron, declared the graduation ceremony open, the Chief Guest, Prof. Venkata Rao addressed the students.
Prof. Venkat Rao began by saying that the “Perfect man is God and imperfect God is Man” and asked the students not to worry if they meet with failures in their life. He exhorted the students to put their best foot forward when they step out into the world as “globalization has turned geography into history”. He enthralled the students with his livid examples and wonderful one liners and puns.
He remarked that India is set to reach the top of the world in economy and achievements and this job rests on the shoulders of the students. He said “Have a dream and see that you fulfill it”. He also added that “Remarks” were more important than “Marks”, therefore ethical thinking should never be compromised to achieve monetary benefits or success.
Mr. B M Reddy, the Guest of honor, complimented the members of AIMS for their dedicated work to achieve the goals and wished all the graduating students all the best in their future endeavors.

It is our pleasure to let you know that we have been accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council of India (NAAC) as an 'A' Grade College with one of the highest CGPA (Cumulative Grade Percentage Average) of 3.46. In the list published by NAAC on its official website, Only Four other colleges going for first time accreditation, in the entire country have a higher CGPA than ours. We are also proud that out of 77 Colleges that have been accredited by NAAC during March – August 2010, AIMS has the highest CGPA of 3.46.

AIMS Nostalgix Event (Alumni Meet 2010)
Acharya Institute of Management & Sciences (AIMS) had organized the Annual Alumni meet on August 14th 2010, titled Nostalgix. The event was held at Ramanashree California Resort, Yelhanka, Bangalore. The initiative was taken by the Corporate & Public Relation Department (C&PR) of AIMS.
Renowned Sufi singer Mr. Adil Hussaini, disciple of Late Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan had enthralled the audience with an extraordinary musical performance, captivating with all the old and new traditional & modern Sufi songs. Nearly 200 alumni of AIMS were humming to the melodious songs.
The event was attended by a huge number of alumni, meeting each other, interacting among themselves and with the dear faculties; their joy was visible in their eyes! Thanks to the support of Dr. Kerron G Reddy (Principal- AIMS) this function was a huge success. Prof Sundaram (Director AIMS- Corporate & Public Relations), Faculty Members, AIMS Non- Teaching Staff Members and the Student volunteers for the event made sure the program will remain unforgettable to alumni who have made their mark in the industry and welcome them back to AIMS Nostalgix event each year.
